11 May 2026, 7amleh - The Arab Center for the Advancement of Social Media today launched a new artificial intelligence-powered social media listening tool for digital content monitoring and analysis. The tool is designed to analyze online discourse & discussions across digital platforms in both Arabic and Hebrew, transforming online conversations into actionable data for civil society organizations, researchers, media professionals, and international institutions.
The launch comes amid increasing pressures and violations affecting Palestinian digital space, including the proliferation of hate speech, incitement, disinformation, disproportionate censorship, and structural biases in content moderation practices across social media platforms. At the same time, digital platforms remain a critical space for expression, dialogue, campaigning, and knowledge exchange particularly in light of the geographic fragmentation of Palestinian communities.
The new model is built on generative artificial intelligence technologies and large language models (LLMs), and has been specifically developed and trained to understand and analyze digital content in Arabic and Hebrew. This includes sensitivity to local dialects as well as the political and social contexts shaping Palestinian digital discourse.
It offers advanced capabilities for social media listening and analysis, including tracking online narratives and identifying emerging trends across political, social, cultural, and economic issues. It also enables analysis of social media discussions and content across platforms on a wide range of topics. The system provides real-time detection of hate speech, incitement, and violent content, alongside advanced analysis of textual, visual, and multimedia content. In addition, it generates customized reports and data dashboards to support advocacy campaigns, strategic planning, and evidence-based decision-making.
The model further allows organizations to customize monitoring processes according to their priorities and operational contexts, including for example elections, public perception of specific issues, and diverse human rights and social issues. This aims to produce data-driven digital knowledge that is both practical and actionable.
The development of this tool responds to a growing need for proactive analytical systems that go beyond traditional monitoring of violations. It supports organizations in understanding digital shifts, anticipating risks, understanding public opinion and discussions and strengthening meaningful engagement with Palestinian communities online.
In this context, 7amleh will host an online webinar to launch the model and present its practical applications, including real-world examples of how it can be used to support advocacy, analyze public opinion, and monitor digital discourse and emerging risks.
Webinar Details:
Date: Tuesday, 19 May 2026
Time: 11:00 – 12:00
