August 30, 2026, 7amleh - The Arab Center for the Advancement of Social Media organized a practical training for civil society organizations on using artificial intelligence tools to develop content, improve access to knowledge, and plan and implement digital campaigns.
The two-day training took place on 26 and 27 August in Ramallah, bringing together 29 representatives from different civil society organizations. The program focused on the practical and responsible use of AI tools in institutional work, linking them to organizations’ needs in content development, reporting, advocacy, audience outreach, and digital campaigns.
The first day, led by Mohammad Abu Alhouf, a specialist in digital transformation, business growth, and marketing, focused on how AI systems find and use information, and on what makes content produced by organizations easier to understand and cite. The sessions also covered how to structure content, present evidence and statistics clearly, improve its visibility in search engines and AI tools, and publish Arabic and multilingual content effectively.
The second day, led by Ahmad Barakat, an entrepreneur and consultant in business and marketing, focused on the practical use of AI in planning and implementing digital campaigns. Topics ranged from effective prompting, campaign strategy, and theory of change to audience and stakeholder analysis, messaging and storytelling, and the production of social media content and short-form videos. The training also addressed misinformation, crisis communication, and community management.
Participants’ feedback highlighted the value of the training’s practical approach. One participant said: “The training was not just about information. It gave us tools that can help us improve our work, make our reports more professional, and understand how to make the content we publish as organizations more visible and accessible to the communities we aim to reach.”
Another participant emphasized the importance of using AI to improve access to knowledge, saying: “The world of AI is vast, and organizations, especially those that produce a lot of content, need to make greater use of these tools. This can also benefit Palestinians by making more information available about the Palestinian reality, as well as news and reports.”
This training comes as part of 7amleh’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the capacities of civil society organizations to respond to rapid changes in the digital environment and to promote the responsible and effective use of AI tools in ways that support content quality, improve access to knowledge, and strengthen the impact of digital campaigns.
