Tech Giants and Genocide: Indigenous Struggles for Digital Justice

Workshop: Defying Digital Discrimination: Gender-Based AI Oppression in the Arab Region

Date: Thursday, February 27, 2025

This workshop will explore how Generative AI systems are misused to perpetuate gender-based violence and discrimination in the Arab region, impacting women, LGBTQI+ individuals, and marginalized groups. Session facilitators will be Marwa Hanna and Rama Salahat from 7amleh, in addition to Rawan Shaif from Amnesty International, Cinames Kalimat from the Jordan Open Source Association, and Asia Alobede from INSM.
