7amleh Center - The Arab Center for the Development of Social Media organized training of trainers on digital security during last weekend 2-4/5/2019 in Ramallah city. Twenty trainers from different areas of historic Palestine participated in the training, including new trainers who were recently recruited to 7amleh’s trainer pool. They have previously been trained and qualified in the field of individual and institutional digital security.
The training of trainers (ToT) was lead by Khalil Shreitah from Al-Quds University, a specialist and researcher in the field of individual and institutional digital security. He has been a trainer for many years and a consultant in social media platforms. Three days of training were delivered on different topics in the field of individual and institutional digital security and information security, such as: how the Internet works, social media platforms; differences and protection methods, passwords, viruses, intrusion methods, social engineering, smart phones, etc. Additionally, activities and training methods for different age groups were discussed.
This training is part of 7amleh’s digital security project, which is now in it’s third year. It includes a pool of trainers from different areas of historic Palestine whose goal is to empower the Palestinian society, especially youth, in digital security and the development of protection and prevention mechanisms in the digital world.
