In light of recent challenges of surveillance and persecution connected to internet usage, as well as intensified Israeli policies that threaten Palestinian freedom such as claims of "incitement over Facebook", 7amleh conducted a study and field survey that aimed to highlight Palestinian youth’s understanding and awareness level of digital security.    

The study analyses qualitative and quantitative data that has been collected from all over historical Palestine (West Bank, Gaza Strip and Palestinian citizens of Israel). The study seeks to address the objectives of internet usage, the security mechanisms that are commonly used and other phenomena widespread throughout Palestine youth relating to surveillance privacy and digital security.
