“The Picture in Social Media: Visual Media & its Role in Campaigns”

On Wednesday, 4th February 2015, 7pm, at the Arab Cultural Association, Al Mukhlas street (Yapid Peretz Street) 14, Haifa. The roundtable discussion will be hosted by a group of photographers and visual media experts, who will share their expertise and success stories in the field of visual media, with regards to awareness and human rights campaigns. They will also speak on the way visual and social media has changed society in both the local and national level. Panellists include:

• Mohammed Badarne – Photographer & founder of the “AlMkhzan” project
• Ahmed Barkley – Visualising Palestine (Skype)
• Hafeed Amer – Campaign Designer, Solidarity with Palestinian hunger strikers campaign
• Abed Tamish – Graphic & campaign designer
